After driving through the electric gates up the sweeping drive upon entering the house you immediately note the polished Travertine marble floors and cathedral ceilings of the 700 ft² living room furnished with an eclectic mixture of antique French, Italian and English furniture imported from Europe mixed with some exquisitely hand carved and painted pieces from Mexico.
Outside there is a 1400 sq ft covered deck divided into 4 separate areas.Here we have non slip matte travertine and terracotta flooring. Solid walnut doors and special tinted glass windows divide. On the walls throughout there is an International collection of art work and in the cherry wood Italian armoire you will find a collection of over 120 Classical music L.P. records along with some great '60s originals. The three 75 ft² master suites are air conditioned whereas in the rest of the house one lives in the true Caribbean style with overhead fans and natural trade wind breezes.
The house is conveniently located on the French side in the exclusive gated community of Terres Basses in a hillside position above the renowned La Samanna Hotel and Baie Longue beach with a 180 degree south vista of the ocean with the island of Saba to the left and stunning sunsets to the right. Two and a half acres of lawns and mature tropical trees and flowers surround the house and the 60 foot long infinity pool is one of the largest on island. Total privacy is our specialty and some guests have expressed no desire to leave the property! Look out for the resident blue-green humming and the yellow sugar birds and the local wild parrot gives a wake up call.
